Recent work moves between media on purpose. Bliksem (2026), an autobiographical documentary with Rinkel Film, premiered on NPO 2. THIS IS NOT A TRANSFORMATION STORY (2025) was a solo installation at MeetFactory in Prague. Paper Cuts (2026), developed with queer migrants in Utrecht, has expanded into an ongoing inquiry into participation, care, and authorship. In 2026, Hassani also presented a participatory durational performance at Pragovka Performance Festival in Prague and co-created new work with Roma artists and community members in Brno. Capas rotas / Capa Rota grew from a residency at Proyecto'ACE in Buenos Aires into a solo exhibition at Bibliotheek Neude in Utrecht.
Earlier films include Khata (2019), the Dutch submission for the International Emmy Awards, and Teekay, the Summersault King (2024). His research Frictie als vorm (2026-2027), supported by the Stimuleringsfonds Creatieve Industrie, continues his inquiry into friction, authorship, participation, and representation in digital culture.
He co-founded PlusWhat, a peer-driven talent programme supporting self-taught young makers (TEDx Education Award 2018/2019), and Stichting wedowe.
