Aiman Hassani is an interdisciplinary Dutch-Moroccan maker whose work centers on visibility, narrative authorship, and underrecognized perspectives. His artistic practice spans film, participatory installations, and talent programs rooted in co-creation and the belief in unseen potential.

His latest documentary, 5 SENSES (2025), explores the sensory history of the Islamic world through the research of scholar Christian Lange. The film premiered at InScience Film Festival and was selected for the InShort Competition.

Previous works include Khata (2019), the official Dutch submission for the International Emmy Awards, and Teekay – de Salto Koning (2024), a film about identity, resilience, and visibility in an urban environment. His projects have been screened at major festivals and broadcast nationally.

Beyond his artistic output, Aiman leads PlusWhat, a hybrid talent program that guides emerging creators from non-institutional communities through fast-paced audiovisual productions, emphasizing co-creation, experimentation, and narrative agency.

His work has been recognized locally and internationally:
  • Selected for Berlinale Talents (2024)
  • Featured as “Talent en Route” at the Netherlands Film Festival (2020)

Aiman is based in the Netherlands and works across Europe and beyond, developing new formats for research-based, community-driven storytelling.
